Join Lysanne for this in depth and practical 4 hour workshop all about Newborn Babywearing Safety. Specifically created with Perinatal Professionals in mind, this workshop will enable you to assist your new families with safe newborn babywearing. You will gain confidence with your practical skills and develop the knowledge of the science behind babywearing to advise your clients. Content: - Why We Carry - The Newborn Experience - Stretchy Wraps: tying, positioning, safety, tricks, variations - Buckle Carriers: adjusting, positioning, safety, tricks, non-ergonomic options - Common FAQs from clients inc. layering, time limits, head control etc. - Signposting Skills Developed: - How to tie one way and two way stretchy wraps - How to safely position baby within a stretchy and why - How to use stretchy wrap variations - How to adjust buckle carriers for newborns - How to identify ergonomic and non-ergonomic options Knowledge Developed: - Understanding the evolutionary need to be carried - Understanding newborn psychology - Understand recommended safety checks and why they're important - Understand the differences between different types of stretchy wraps and variations - Understand the difference between ergonomic and non-ergonomic buckle carriers You will receive a workbook to accompany you during the workshop for you to take notes and draw pictures in, complete with diagrams and QR links to videos to support your ongoing development. ***This workshop does not give you a Peer Supporter or Babywearing Consultant qualification so you cannot be insured for teaching babywearing***

RESCHEDULE We understand that babies and children are unpredictable and where possible we will always reschedule your appointment. Please give us as much notice as possible. We will only be able to reschedule once per booking you make. CANCELLATION Appointments cancelled with less than 24h notice will not be eligible for a refund. Appointments cancelled with less than 48h notice will be eligible for a deposit to be refunded. Appointments cancelled more than 48h in advance will be entitled to a full refund.
